Castle of Web and Bone: A 5th Level Adventure for 5th Edition

$4.99

Castle Darkholm once stood on a hill overlooking the valley below. Its ruler, Lady Sehkris, was a shrewd and cruel woman. Secretly a worshipper of Ghenna, goddess of pain, she lured in travelers and troublesome locals with promises of a hot meal and a warm bed, only to bind and torture them until their inevitable deaths. When the locals finally rose up against her, she called upon her goddess for salvation. In response, Ghenna turned Lady Sehkris into a monstrous spider-like creature known as a drider and encased her castle in thick webs. With her newfound power, Lady Sehkris drove off the approaching mob.

The next morning, as the sun began to rise, Castle Darkholm slowly turned to dust, vanishing into the receding darkness. Now, every time the new moon graces the sky, the castle reappears on the material plane, usually close to civilization. There it remains until the following morning when it vanishes once more into the pocket dimension where it normally resides, a place covered in webs where the sun dares not show itself.

Now, time is of the essence. Townsfolk have gone missing, unnatural darkness looms above, and the castle is only bound to this plane for a few more hours. Unless a band of adventurers can infiltrate the ruin and defeat its mistress, it will slip back into the darkness once more.
