Palace of the Flame Lords: A 13th Level Adventure for 5th Edition
Long ago, the fire giant sultan of the western sands made a bargain with a powerful efreeti to conceal his palace and the treasures within so that none could ever claim them. The efreeti summoned forth a powerful sandstorm that raged about the desert and hid the palace from sight. Centuries passed and the sultan became more and more paranoid that others sought his wealth. Soon, he executed everyone save his closest advisors and elemental servants and sealed himself away in his chambers at the top of the palace.
Now, the palace lies at the heart of the sandstorm, surrounded by a nigh impenetrable wall of sand. The sultan covets his many treasures while the few remaining souls in his employ tend to his needs. But all is not well. The efreeti, tired of the paranoid old giant, has opened a small passage through the sandstorm curtain in the hopes of escaping. Once he flees, the sandstorm will slowly fade, and the sultan will have to fend for himself against any who might seek him out.
